2022 End Of Year Round Up

We take a look back at the year 2022 and recall some of its most notable events. From awards to partnerships, celebrity weddings and new ranges - join us as we revisit these memorable moments in 2022!

The start of the year saw us continue with our stadium LED advertising, placing pitch side LEDs at 14 premier league clubs across the UK and Scotland. January also saw us win the Feefo Platinum Trusted award for the fourth year in a row

February saw us launch our partnership with local rugby team Salford Red Devils, a collaboration we are especially passionate about.

Shortly after this milestone we were honoured to supply Swansea City F.C and the first team with their official club suits

As spring set in we were delighted to be sponsors of the Manchester Remembers Football Match. The charity football match was organised by former police officer Aaron Lee and local business owner Paul Corrigan. Launched to raise funds for a number of charities following the Manchester arena attack, Aaron was one of the first responders on the scene at the Manchester Arena in 2017. 

In June we were honoured to be tasked with designing and making Harry Maguires wedding suit. The Manchester United captain worked with the team here at Marc Darcy to help design his perfect wedding suit. Speaking of Groomswear we were also awarded a Highly commended award for Groomswear in the County Brides awards. 

 

 

As the hottest summer of the century approached, we launched some scorching collaborations. First with Premier League football club Everton and with professional tennis player Cameron, who took to the courts at Wimbledon with a custom Marc Darcy tennis bag.

We were delighted to dress the Ushers for Danny Millers wedding and finally in September we won the Drapers Independent aware for Menswear brand of the year, for a record breaking third time!

 

 Towards the end of the year we gained another partnership under our belt as we teamed up with Championship team Sheffield United. We also partnered with England Rugby league and sponsored boxer Dylan Cheema, rounding off a great year for sports partnerships.

Then just like that before we knew it, it was time to shoot our Christmas party campaign!
