Go all out with a black tie glamorous affair. Think monochrome decorations, plenty of twinkling festoon and fairy lights, touches of greenery and foliage, alongside high end cocktails and fireworks to finish the festivities. You can bring the glamour to any style of venue, from stately homes to barns and warehouses, there really are no rules. Ask your guests to join in the fun with a black tie dress code and ensure your own outfits are totally in keeping. For the bride, sparkling statement jewellery and slinky gowns and for the groom and groomsmen? Think velvet, bow ties and tuxedos which you can find in the luxe Marc Darcy collections.

Burgundy has been a key colour-way for weddings in 2018 and it’s a tone I think is here to stay. The colour lends itself perfectly to Autumn/Winter weddings, however it’s a colour palette not to be restricted to any particular season. It’s been a popular colour in the fashion world, which is why we’ve seen many bridesmaids in burgundy. But we’ve also seen grooms and groomsmen rocking this unusual and striking colour-way in their suit choices. Keep this colour theme chic by not going all out matchy matchy, but by incorporating other complementary tones, such as golds and copper, alongside foliage flower arrangements and even a touch of sequin glam. We love the idea of a colour pop Marc Darcy waistcoat or subtle burgundy check suit.

If you haven’t heard already, Living Coral is the Pantone colour of 2019. Both the fashion and interiors world are often influenced by the Pantone colour choice and the wedding world is no different. Coral has been a firm favourite with wedding florists thanks to the beautiful Coral Charm Peony being a hit in wedding flowers for years now. It’s the perfect choice for wedding blooms when choosing coral as your wedding colour. The key to using coral is to use the colour in a subtle way with the little touches. Bow ties, pocket squares and socks in coral for grooms add a touch of fun, or even add a coral shirt for a bolder look. This works really well with the bright blue Marc Darcy suit in particular. Think also about choosing coral tones for your wedding stationery or wedding cake, which will inject a pop of fresh colour.

Over the past few years we’ve seen more and more grooms donning tweed, wool and linen suits over the more traditional morning suits. Opting for different colour-ways from the norm work really well, think browns, creams and greys, all options available from Marc Darcy. A subtle check looks very dapper for a real country style look, or mix and match with a jacket teamed with chinos. Go bold with a Marc Darcy flat cap too for a peaky blinders style. Why not ditch the jacket and just choose a waistcoat for a really relaxed vibe? The rustic neutral style fits perfectly into countryside weddings, think tipi celebrations on the farm or even a woodland glade location. Then go wild with an array of bolder colours in the flowers, decorations and bridesmaid dresses. Don’t match up, let your personality pave the way and you will end up with a multicolour mismatch wedding theme of dreams!
