One Suit, Four Ways | Ted

We're back showing you how to push your style to the limits by styling one suit, four different ways. This time it's the turn of Ted, a longstanding bestselling line and now more versatile than ever. This MD favourite edges towards the vintage end of the spectrum however it doesn't always have to be dressed that way. Be inspired by these four different looks....

First let's show you optimum levels of traditional English gent. As the Ted suit is a heritage herringbone style in design it fits perfectly with this theme. The earthy neutral colours are reminiscent of old age country tweeds, brought back to life with the subtle yellow and blue check running through. Combine with a simple grandad collar shirt and bronze pocket watch and you'll look fresh from the 1900s

Some folk fear a head to toe checked ensemble so if you're one of those, simply take the tips from look one but throw on a simple navy waistcoat instead. The Max waistcoat does just the job, the mahogany contrast buttons and elegant navy tone tying in nicely with the colour scheme. It's no secret that we at MD love a mix and match look, and this is one of our favourites.

Make Ted country casual by swapping out the trousers for stone chinos and tan loafers. Perfect for those leisurely weekend strolls or casual Friday's at work. You can even drop the waistcoat for relaxed summer days and pair with some comfortable trainers, an ideal evening look for a European Spring getaway.

Feeling a little fed up of white shirts? This look demonstrates the perfect alternative. The Ted suit has a subtle blue check running through it which can be accentuated by pairing with a relaxed blue shirt like the Alfie. Tuck it in to expose a tan belt and match your shoes to coordinate with the buttons and velvet trim. Smart-casual sorted!
